Jenna Fischer is best known for her character Pam Beesly on the acclaimed television series The Office, for which she won the Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress as well as Two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance in the Ensemble Comedy.
She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but her family was primarily from St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna watched her mom, Anne, perform in church plays when she was young that instilled a passion of theater and performance.
After wrapping up The Office, Fischer, who is a trained actress in the theater, went back to her home base. The Off-Broadway production Reasons to be Happy written by Neil LaBute with Josh Hamilton and Leslie Bibb as co-stars, Fischer was the lead. She is the author of two books. The Actor's Life and a Survival Guide, in which she recounts her experience from St. Louis to Hollywood and her journey to becoming a successful actress, and the forthcoming Office BFF's: Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends who were there (co-authored together with Angela Kinsey), which is an account of their most memorable friendship and time working in The Office.
