I spent months working 12 hours sanding floors, and tear down wallpaper the baby on my back and the others crawling inside the playpen. Ha! It was all falling into place, however we were nowhere near done. It would take lots of time and an enthusiasm of shopping. In order to stay within my budget, I took my boys along with me as I searched for treasures in estate sales. Our routine for the week was to spend Thursday-Saturday walking through garage and estate sales to purchase a mix of vintage and modern pieces, and then I would spend on weekdays painting and sanding the driveway. What I saw looked something similar to... that's when my desire to repair furniture began. Although our house was furnished, I could not stop. I had an area at the market where I sold objects. I could outgrow the market because I had numerous pieces I was able to use. Over 1000 people visited my home over the course of a weekend to purchase everything on the ground floor. Growing Days is the result of all this. Growing Days was not only an extremely successful company, it was as well my family. Being a new mom, I found the right way to be able to begin my own company and become a great mother. Growing Days just fit. The year was 2013, and my beautiful daughter Nora joined our 4th baby. This was a fantastic direction for my business, but I also needed an escape. I decided to stop working on my antique furniture for a while and spend time with my kids. At the time, it was what I wanted. It rang once more after a while. The people who called me were asking for help with their interior decorating and home improvements. The majority of them were those who had walked through my property during furniture open houses! In the following months, I began to take on more clients, in my own way. Then I was able to have many customers and was operating as a home improvement business. When I first heard about my home renovation business, I laughed. It's funny to think back on the idea.
