Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams (born on the 20th of August 1974 in Aviano Italy). American actress. Famous for her naive and charming characters. Adams was born to an U.S. Army officer in Italy and grew within Castle Rock Colorado. The early 1990s were when Adams began performing and dancing professionally at the Boulder Dinner Theatre as well as the Country Dinner Playhouse. Following her move to Minnesota and appearing in a mock-documentary film called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1998) which focused on beauty contests. After making her screen debut as a cute but serious contestant she moved towards Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. She was married to Tony Curtis was her partner from June 1950 to September 1992. They had two kids, Kelly Curtis as well as Jamie Lee Curtis. Discovered by the actress Norma Shearer Leigh secured a contract with MGM and started her career in film in the 1940s. In the 1960s, Leigh starred in a variety of films, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho and Living It Up.
