Both Republicans and Democrats appreciate his integrity. Cheney has said that he regards the role of an honest and discreet adviser to Bush's administration. Cheney expressed his excitement at accepting the Republican vice-presidential nod. Cheney said the future is bright for him working with a person who is able to work together with people of different political views and with shared objectives. Richard Bruce Cheney (born January 30 1941) was the son Richard Herbert Cheney. His mother, Marjorie Lauraine Dickey had been engaged to Richard Herbert Cheney for over 30 years. As a 13-year-old, Richard Bruce accompanied his parents from Nebraska to Casper (in the US state of Wyoming) which is where his father was director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's land conservation districts.
